Coarse Material Washers crusher

These coarse material washers and blade mills are ideally suited for thoroughly scrubbing and cleaning up to 2 1/2” material.
Built with large, three stage gearboxes and outboard lower bearing assemblies, the units are designed for long operating life and maintenance ease. The tubs are comprised of heavy gauge plate, and are designed for maximum life in various applications.
The units can be operated with electric, hydraulic, or combustion power. Each unit comes complete with support legs, adjustable motor base, motor guard, lifting lugs and supports, and a v-belts guard.

Operating Principles

The required water is introduced to wash out deleterious material over the tub end. Dust and clay and other undesirable feed material components are eliminated from the fed material by this abrading and washing action.

Deleterious material with light specific gravity (wood, lignite, paper), are carried out of the tub by the rising current of water within the tub.

For tougher applications, additional paddle configurations can be used in lieu of conveyor flights. This lengthens the material retention time in the machine and results in more extensive scrubbing in the tub

BINQ Coarse Material Washers provide light to moderate scrubbing and washing to remove soluble clays and dust coatings that are encountered in natural and crushed stone applications. The scrubbing and attrition of deleterious materials is accomplished by the action of the corrugated paddles cutting through the slurrified material. This action results in particle on particle scrubbing to promote the separation of coatings from the coarse aggregate. The combined action of the paddles along with the rolling and tumbling generated by the rotating spirals releases deleterious materials from the product material into the overflowing wastewater.

Each BINQ Coarse Material Washer is fabricated with a rising current manifold to provide an upward current of water to assist in removing unwanted materials. Deleterious materials of light specific gravity such as twigs, sticks, and lightweight coals are floated by the rising current of water and the jigging action of the paddles within the tub. The deleterious materials are then removed by the overflowing wastewater.
Due to the varying types of materials each BINQ Coarse Material Washer will encounter, each washer can be configured to meet specific scrubbing needs by adding more paddles to the conveying shaft(s). Additional paddles allow material to be retained in the tub area for additional scrubbing.

Blade Mill Set-Up

The BINQ Blade Mill is a modified coarse material washer with a full set of paddles for increased scrubbing capabilities. Blade Mills operate flat with no rear overflow and are generally used for pre-scrubbing raw feeds that contain high quantities of soluble silt and clay materials as well as materials failing to meet sand equivalency specifications. The BINQ Blade Mill also substantially enhances screening efficiency by breaking down soluble clays into a pre-mixed slurry.
